If I tried to answer even the most common sharpening questions here I would end up with something the size of a book and no time left to do my sharpening. I do love to sharpen and to talk about sharpening but because I am a much better sharpener than a writer I will gladly leave that to others.
I would offer some small advice to anyone reading this, please let me sharpen your knives and use the time saved from your pursuit of sharpening for something else.
