
I have been sharpening culinary knives exclusively for over a dozen years. My goal is to regularly sharpen your knives, as often as you need (at minimum once a year). Knives get used daily and any cutting and chopping will move the metal from a sharp'V' shape to a dull 'U' shape. Metal moves and I move it back to the perfect 'V' shaving sharp shape. I specialize in culinary knives, serrated knives, hunting knives, carving knives and filet knives for chefs, restaurants and residential customers.
Historically sharpening was a door to door service industry. A Sharpener went down the street or alleyway and called out for your knives. Everyone got their knives sharpened on a regular basis. Now with so many two income families and everyone on the go my sharpening business relies on fast ground delivery for a typical 3 to 5 day total turn around time for your knives. The re-usable shipping carton becomes a regular conduit between you and I to keep your knives razor sharp and fun to use.
I am not so much the proprietor of a sharpening business, I am the Sharpener. The sharpening isn't done by a machine or by some new employee that just started. It is all done by hand-eye skill, by me, for you.
